Coach Tony Gonzalez is a lifelong soccer enthusiast and passionate coach, fan, student, spectator and promoter of the beautiful game. He is a firm believer that the game can be used to teach and enhance people’s lives as individuals and as communities.

Coach Tony coaches both the South Suburban College men’s and women’s programs in South Holland, IL and is also the DOC for South Suburban Soccer Academy. Coach Tony has five children, all of whom play soccer, Edson, Alexis, Amaris, Alanis and Ezrah and is happily married to Veronica. Coach Tony is a big fan of any high quality soccer games, but his favorite professional teams, apart from CHAC, include FC Barcelona and FC Monterrey from Mexico.

“It may take some time, but with more organic origins, community based clubs and with eventually having Pro/Rel, NISA and it’s clubs will spearhead a more authentic soccer option in this country.”
